The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the graphic designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects and resonates. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for design, a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, and be able to find the right style and layout for every project.
- Key Responsibilities
- Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams or clients on a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, proposals, collateral, signage, internal communications, newsletters, videos, and marketing materials
- Obtain input from others to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company appropriately
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) / engineers to create explanatory graphics for government bids and proposals.
- Work independently as well as cooperatively with marketing team to meet deadlines, stay with budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include multiple projects simultaneously
- Examine existing processes, identify areas of improvement, and create solutions that improve workflows capabilities
- Update and maintain internal repository of artwork, designs, photography, and video assets.
- Able to research, identify and work with outside agencies / vendors for fulfillment needs for marketing merchandise, signs, banners, mailers, etc.
- Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in professional graphics design, preferably in a corporate or defense industry setting
- US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
- Proficiency in Adobe Create Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven experience in creating a variety of marketing materials such as mailers, ads, flyers, social media posts, signage, and handouts.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative design solutions and a keen understanding of typography, color, and layout design.
- Strong understanding of online and print design needs
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Photography experience and equipment is a plus
