Primary Responsibilities, and Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
What skills are needed to be successful in this role?
Strong project management skills to be able to oversee many projects at the same time.
Ability to competently and confidently interact with outside stakeholders, including fleets, school districts and school bus operators, consultants, charging station hosts, and utilities.
Ability to learn systems quickly.
Ability to stay organized and follow / set processes for managing many projects is essential.
Are there any specialized skills that must be present for the position to be successful?
Experience with utility engagement, vehicle fleet operations, and / or school district operations would be helpful but is not required.
Are there any skills that the resource needs at start of engagement?
Basic understanding of clean transportation, electric vehicles, and electric vehicle charging is strongly preferred.
Certifications and qualifications, including education / degree
Bachelors degree required.
Background in civil or electrical engineering and / or transportation planning is not required but strongly preferred.

Tasks
Lead and support the technical assistance intake and application process for school bus fleet operators
Review and approve applications including scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for technical assistance
Support and manage all aspects of technical assistance projects including technical review (specifically on validity of route analysis, charging plan development, and site planning), client engagement, and progress / budget tracking
Engage with utilities to ensure that school districts and bus fleet operators are engaging with the utilities as needed and required by project SOWs
Support broad engagement with schools and school bus fleets to inform them about the opportunities for school bus electrification
Track, document, and report-out on projects as-needed, including number of districts, stage of projects, number of vehicles, progress on utility engagement
