Construction Controller
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for month-end, quarterly and year-end closings.
- Manage general ledger and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare and manage financial reports ensuring timely and accurate reporting and compliance with legal requirements and accounting standards (GAAP).
- Review financial transactions and statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and implement financial controls and policies to safeguard company assets and comply with financial regulations.
- Manage corporate tax obligations and reporting, ensuring compliance with tax laws and optimizing the company's tax position.
- Collaborate with the finance team on finance, accounting, and payroll activities.
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Prepare monthly management reports to present financials to the management committee.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related discipline.
- Able to work fully onsite
- Must have Construction experience
- Must have Sage experience
- Government Contractor and / or ESOP experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles.
- Proficient in MS Office with advanced MS Excel skills.
