Senior Tax Accountant for Single Family Office

New York City–based single family office is seeking an exceptionally intelligent and responsible Senior Tax Accountant to collaborate closely with our Tax Director, CFO, and other key team members. This person will play an important role in all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, and planning for the Principals and their related entities.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Complex tax preparation and filings including individual, trust, partnership, and company returns
  • Coordinating with external tax advisors to manage information flow, process timelines, filings, notices, and audits
  • Tax projection and payment calculations for family members and related entities
  • Compiling and reviewing relevant tax documents including K-1s
  • Researching tax implications of prospective transactions, charitable giving initiatives, and other significant tax-related events
  • Responding to inquiries and correspondence from federal, state, and local tax authorities
  • Meticulous record keeping and documentation management
  • Strategically analyzing different scenarios and presenting options
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
  • Proactively staying apprised of the evolving tax landscape

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required, as is a strong fluency with Excel. An efficient, detail-oriented approach and a no-task-too-small mentality are also very important. The person in the role must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. A CPA license and / or family office experience would be a plus.

The position offers a starting salary range of $200,000 to $250,000 per year, a sign-on bonus, and a generous benefits package.
