The salary range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment.

Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Operations Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Operations function.

• 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
• Prior leadership experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of Six Sigma process improvement plan preferred
• Manage staff to ensure timely distribution and receipt of product while meeting distribution center standards of safety, quality, budget, policies, and procedures
• Monitor warehouse productivity, adhere to budget requirements, work towards obtaining distribution center programs and coordinate all necessary repairs
• Recommend and implement programs, policies, and strategies to increase production and efficient space utilization within the facility
• Implement and administer all policies and procedures
• Ensure quality service is provided to the customers
• Ensure prompt follow-through on customer correspondence for shipment of merchandise and stock-on-hand
• Manager site financial metrics
• Handle general employee inquiries and resolves concerns
• Manage supervisory and employee population development, training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals
• Use Lean Six Sigma principles to develop and implement innovations that improve the quality of service to our customers
• Document procedures while reporting on any changes in the company’s processes
• Manages department operations and supervises professional employees, front line supervisors and / or business support staff
• Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals
• Ensures employees operate within guidelines
• Decisions have a short term impact on work processes, outcomes and customers
• Interacts with subordinates, peers, customers, and suppliers at various management levels; may interact with senior management
• Interactions normally involve resolution of issues related to operations and / or projects
• Gains consensus from various parties involved
