We are seeking a highly qualified Regional Vice President - Multifamily Operations to spearhead the management of a diverse portfolio of affordable and market-rate housing assets across the region.
This pivotal role carries full P&L responsibility and focuses on driving operational efficiencies while ensuring high-quality housing solutions for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operational management of a portfolio that includes both conventional and affordable multifamily properties.
- Collaborate closely with Regional Managers and site-level teams to accomplish key objectives and targets.
- Provide training, coaching, and ongoing professional development to staff members.
- Adopt a hands-on approach by actively engaging with property operations through regular site visits.
- Optimize operational efficiencies and update standard operating procedures in conjunction with the executive team.
- Develop and execute capital plans and budgets, ensuring thorough financial reviews.
- Identify and implement technological enhancements to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Maximize revenue while ensuring the provision of quality housing to residents.
- Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with investors, ownership entities, and regulatory bodies.
- Travel to properties and interact with current and prospective clients to further business objectives.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience managing property operations for both market-rate and affordable housing portfolios, with a proven track record of success over 10+ years.
- In-depth knowledge of Low Income Housing Tax Credit, Workforce Housing, and relevant city and state programs.
- Strong leadership abilities coupled with exceptional communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and the executive team.
- Proficiency in MS 365 and property management software, alongside strong financial acumen in budgeting and capital expenses.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in managing property operations within the multifamily housing sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial management and operational strategy development.
- Industry certifications are an advantage.
- Experience in rehabilitation projects and comprehensive operations management is preferred.
