Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) 24-Hour Live-In Care ($20 / hr)

UniversaCare is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide 24-hour live-in care for a private residence housing 4-5 seniors.
The ideal candidate will offer personalized care for each resident, supporting them with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and ensuring their well-being in a comfortable home environment.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Personal Care Assistance :
- Assist with all ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Provide mobility assistance, including transfers from bed to wheelchair and walking assistance.
- Monitor and assist with personal hygiene routines.
2. Health Monitoring :
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' physical and emotional health to family members and healthcare providers.
3. Meal Preparation & Feeding :
- Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals according to residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
- Assist with feeding when required.
4. Companionship :
- Engage residents in meaningful activities, conversation, and companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Create a warm and supportive environment by being attentive and responsive to each resident’s needs.
5. Household Management :
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing to maintain a safe and clean living space.
- Ensure a safe home environment by organizing spaces and assisting with fall prevention measures.
6. Overnight Support :
Provide round-the-clock care, including overnight assistance as needed for bathroom use, repositioning, or addressing any emergencies.
Qualifications :
- Valid CNA certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNA, preferably in a live-in or residential care setting.
- Experience caring for seniors with varying levels of mobility and health conditions.
- CPR and First Aid certification (required).
- Ability to manage the physical demands of caregiving, including lifting and transferring patients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong commitment to providing quality care.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a clean and organized environment.
Additional Requirements :
- Willingness to live in the residence for 5-7 days at a time.
- Must pass a background check and provide professional references.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs and schedules of multiple seniors.
