Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management.

Provides Information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of organization.

Position will be 40 hours per week in the Radiation Therapy Clinic. Normal office hours will be 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm Monday-Friday but may vary depending on patient appointments and doctor availability.

Position will be a combination of medical assistant, front desk and insurance authorization duties.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for new hires effective April 2014.

2. Medical Assistant certification or prior medical assistant, nurse assistant or other related healthcare experience preferred.

3. One year work experience in public contact job preferred.

4. Current BLS certificate within 30 days of hire.
