The opportunity

As the Associate Dean (AD), you will be a full-time member of university staff responsible for supporting the operational needs and strategic direction of MEd programs, as well as providing support to the General Education and First Year Experience programs at Southern New Hampshire University's online Global Campus (GC).

Reporting to the Executive Director of General Education, First Year Experience, and Education, you will manage the execution of operational-level projects.

You'll collaborate across departments and monitor discipline, industry, and higher education trends to provide a high-quality student, faculty, and academic experience.

You'll have deep subject-specific knowledge in your assigned programs and can help implement projects through your knowledge, strengths, and skills, while ensuring the daily health of academic programs.

You will build cross-functional team support and identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and programmatic innovation.

You'll get to :

  • Drive learner success and quality within designated programs, courses, and content through data-informed decisions.
  • Maintain successful programs and curriculum through oversight, ensuring efficient curriculum delivery and curriculum relevancy.
  • Assure the achievement of necessary institutional and programmatic benchmarks and performance indicators with analytical support and discipline.
  • Collaborate with instructional and curriculum design teams to ensure learning theory and best practices are applied to program and course development.
  • Help design and deliver new learning models that are flexible and scalable to support the needs of tomorrow's learners and address important issues such as affordability, access, and speed to completion
  • Ensure that assigned programs meet programmatic and institutional accreditation standards and institutional policies and governance requirements.
  • Lead collaborative efforts across departments to support learner, faculty, and graduate success and program growth.
  • Conduct environmental scanning and research in collaboration with internal and external partners to identify trends and inform actions to increase programmatic success.
  • Support improvements in processes to increase automation, improve data and reporting, ability to grow, reduce cost, and better support collaboration between partners.
  • Participate in professional development activities that support professional growth and the development of a national presence within the discipline area specifically and higher education generally.
  • Implement practices that embody SNHU's core values of putting people first, engaging in learning, promoting equity, setting the right pace, and embracing collaboration.

What we're looking for :

  • Master's degree or higher in K-12 Education related field
  • Professional certification as Principal, Curriculum Director, Superintendent, or other K-12 administrator endorsement
  • At least 3 years of related experience working in a similar administrative role
  • Experience in online degree programs to include competency-based education (CBE)
  • Knowledge of environmental forces within the higher education environment and within the field of K-12 Education, Education Administration, and K-12 classroom-based direct instruction.
  • Understanding of the foundations of learning science and the key drivers of student success

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $80,651.00 - $129,068.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.

We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $89,121.00 - $120,575.00.
