Mechanical Design Engineer III
Dynamic Manufacturing has an exciting opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer III! Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining production fixtures used in the testing of components and sub-assemblies within the automotive industry.
The candidate must demonstrate an advanced understanding of mechanical concepts, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and have practical working experience in creating drawings, designing, managing, and implementing projects.

- Participate in estimating cost and level of effort for : + New product line launches + Continuous Improvement projects + New product launches within an existing product line
- Interface with customer engineers and visit customer locations as needed
- Assist in managing launches for new product lines
- Assist in managing several projects spanning multiple departments
- Mentor less experienced Engineers
- Assist in serving as technical lead for a team of Engineers and Associate Engineers
- Interface and collaborate with Controls and Instrumentation Engineers, Software Controls Engineers, Product Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, and Calibration Technicians
- Design or assist in the design of, implement and maintain : + Advanced industrial equipment such as testing fixtures for automotive components + Advanced component testers for various automotive parts + Pneumatic and hydraulic presses including fixturing and control
- Create mechanical design documents
- Create hydraulic and pneumatic designs
- Create documents for Preventative and / or Predictive maintenance documents
- Collaborative or Industrial Robotics Projects
- Automation Projects
- Control and testing for hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Motion control
- Pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical safety designs
- Advise on the status of equipment to determine necessary repairs, redesigns, or rebuilds
