Shift : Night, 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM, 3x12 Hr)
Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week
Experience : Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred
License : Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
Certifications :
- BLS - American Heart Association required
- NRP required
- Fetal Monitoring Certification is preferred
Must-Have : Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN)
Job Description :
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
- Evaluate health status through the ongoing collection and assessment of health data.
- Conduct health teaching and health counseling.
- Provide therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being, either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others.
- Execute delegated medical functions.
- Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
- Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- Use resources as needed.
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization, and abide by service behavior standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- May be required to float to other departments (within the scope of competency and qualifications) based on business needs.
- May be required to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
