A leading manufacturer of flexible packaging material located in the Watertown, CT area is seeking to fill positions for a Central Impression 10 Color Flexo Press.

Positions : Flexo Operators
Candidates with experience as a wide web flexographic press operator are highly desired. The responsibilities and requirements for this role include :
Superior quality of pressmanship.
Meeting machine and labor utilization standards.
Maintaining class A standards on all current Flexo Department equipment.
Making decisions on when to stop the press for correction of defects.
Striving to start the press with as little lost time as possible.
Inspecting roll samples for print quality including color standards, register, and other print defects.
Knowledge of how to use Spectophotometer / Densitometer / Glossmeter / Gaugetalker.
Inspecting all cylinders and plates after each run.
Carrying out all safe operating, sanitation, and housekeeping policies.
Constantly striving to raise the quality level of work, facilitate production, and cut waste to a minimum.
Being mechanically inclined, alert, and conscientious.
Capable of exercising good judgement in solving operational problems.
Ability to direct activities of your crew.
Heavy lifting may be required.
