JOB SUMMARY
The CNA provides routine daily care and services including feeding, bathing, dressing, exercising, toileting, and general comfort of residents.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

- Assists with daily living activities including proper feeding, bathing, dressing, exercising, and toileting
- Reports to the nurse changes in the resident’s status or any other notable changes
- Responds to calls from residents for assistance
- Ensures resident areas are clean, tidy, and up to The Oaks at Bartlett standards
- Assists residents with transfers by following the policies and procedures for using a gait belt, sit to stand lift or hoyer lift.
- Practices good customer service while caring for all residents and working with coworkers.
- Provides positive interactions throughout the shift.
- Assist with resident activities, as necessary
- Adheres to all professional standards, follow policies and procedures, and abides by all Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Recognized as a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing in the State of Illinois, Required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, Preferred
- One or more years of experience in a skilled nursing environment, Preferred
- CPR Certification, Preferred
- Ability to provide patient centered care
- Ability to recognize unusual or emergency situations that require intervention
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to work in a team environment and individually
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to push residents in wheelchairs up to 300 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, stoop, reach, and balance and carry supplies.
