Position Overview

Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Process Designer who is looking for new learning experiences, opportunities for career growth, and a desire to contribute to our clients' success.

This position will be working out of our Bear River City, UT location. This position will have the support of a large team, but will currently be the sole permanent on-site representative of Foth for our client at this location.

There will be opportunities to grow the on-site presence team based on performance.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Audit Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's) in the field and redline them as needed.
• Perform Process Safety Studies on audited P&ID's as needed.
• Travel as required for fieldwork and / or other client / business objectives.
• Work collaboratively and build effective relationships with others.
• Communicate effectively across all levels within the organization.
• Interact with clients regularly.

Required Qualifications :

• Knowledge of P&ID's and Process flow diagrams related to process systems.
• Ability to gain Procter & Gamble Process Safety certification.
• Ability to work independently and interface with customer contacts in a professional manner on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent technical experience.
• Certification to perform process safety studies at Proctor & Gamble.
• 5+ years of process / piping design for industrial projects.

Preferred Previous Experience :

• Creating and modifying P&IDs and PFDs.
• Designing in 2D and 3D modeling software (AutoCAD MEP, Plant 3D, Revit).
• Paper industry projects.
• HVAC ductwork design.
• Developing Bill of Materials.
• Construction support for an industrial environment.
• Executing process / piping design projects according to ISA (Instrument Society of America) standards for P&IDs and PFDs.
• Preparing design packages using AutoCAD and 3D modeling software.
• Taking field dimensions, gathering equipment information, measuring equipment, preparing sketches, and developing piping isometrics.
• Preparing engineering documentation for construction activities.
