Seeking aLicensed Electrical Engineer with building design experience for afirm that works with clients across the United States to combat theaffordable housing crisis by reimagining construction withworldclass innovation.

They define success by constructability andachieve it through highly coordinated BIM models and a carefullyexecuted quality control plan.

Thisposition offers versatile work arrangements including options forinoffice locations in Nampa Idaho and Fort Worth Texas.

Forcandidates residing outside these areas this position offers theflexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the United Stateswith the expectation of periodic onsite visits to the Nampa Idahooffice.

The role reports to the Nampa Idaho office allowing for acombination of remote and inoffice work asneeded.

As a member of ourelectrical team you would contribute to our missionby :

  • Performing and directing others in detailedbuilding design including lighting power HVAC power single linediagrams lighting controls fire alarm communications security andrelated engineeringcalculations.
  • Providing technical guidance and training tomore junior staff.
  • Ensuring that design standards and qualitycontrol procedures are followed and that designs comply withfederal state and local codes.
  • Mentoring more junior staff and developingthem for growth within their discipline and thefirm.
  • Contributing to our Learning ManagementSystem by developing design standards white papers and technicaldesign documentation.
  • May supervise the work of more junior staffon project work.
  • Growing and fostering relationships withclients.
  • Collaborating with sales staff to createproposals in response to current and potential client requests forproposals (RFPs).
  • Meeting with current and potential clients toreview their current and future designneeds.
  • Managing the local design team incollaboration with the leadership team at our Nampa Idahoheadquarters.
  • Attending conferences symposia etc. toimprove the visibility of the firm s products and services incollaboration with applicable salesstaff.
  • Submitting technical articles and designs forpublishing to technical journals and industrypublications.

Requirements

MinimumQualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in ElectricalEngineering (BSEE) from an ABETaccrediteduniversity.
  • Professional Engineering (PE)license.
  • Will consider candidates with an Engineer inTraining (EIT) certification provided they demonstrate the abilityand commitment to obtain their Professional Engineering (PE)license within the first six months ofemployment.
  • 4 years of building designexperience.
  • Proficiency with Revit andBluebeam.
  • Experience filling the role of projectengineer for several projects occurringconcurrently.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge ofindustry codes including the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70)National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code (NFPA 72) Life Safety Code(NFPA 101) International Building Code (IBC) and IEEEStandards.

PreferredQualifications

  • Working knowledge of fire alarmdesign and installation.
  • Modular constructionexperience.
  • Experience managing two or more people on aproject team.
  • Experience reviewing submittals andresponding to construction administration requests forinformation.
  • Understanding of California Building EnergyEfficiency Standards.
