Job Description

As a Warehouse Associate / Driver, you will be responsible for completing door-to-door deliveries by driving a company truck on an assigned route.

You will also pick and assemble customer orders, maintain the company vehicle, and document driver logs. This role requires coordination with managers and salespersons to ensure timely deliveries, participation in weekly warehouse meetings, and attendance at semiannual inventory counts.

Additionally, you will provide logistics support for company events outside of normal working hours and perform other duties as assigned.

• 1st shift 8 am - 5 pm + OT
• $29.40 / hr + Driver Allowance
• Long Term Direct Hire

Responsibilities

• Complete door-to-door deliveries by driving the company truck on an assigned route.
• Pick and assemble customer orders as indicated on the pick list.
• Maintain and safely navigate the company vehicle.
• Document, record, and complete driver logs when making deliveries.
• Coordinate with managers and salespersons to assemble urgent deliveries to customers.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service.
• Participate in weekly warehouse meetings.
• Attend semiannual inventory counts on designated days, possibly on weekends.
• Provide logistics support for company events and functions outside of normal working hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Candidates must have EITHER a CLASS A OR CLASS B Drivers License
• Basic mathematical knowledge including counting inventory, weight and measurement conversions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Awareness of proper warehouse safety procedures.
• Forklift training and / or certification preferred.
• Reach Truck certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Japanese foods and liquors preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Able to drive for a majority of the daily working hours.
• Able to work without sitting for extended periods, including standing and walking.
• Able to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Able to handle and move up to 165 pounds with assistance frequently.

Work Environment

The work environment involves driving for a majority of the daily working hours and performing tasks that require standing and walking without extended periods of sitting.

You will need to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently, and handle and move up to 165 pounds with assistance.

The noise level can be loud while indoors.
