CLEAR is seeking a dynamic & experienced Director of Communications to lead the strategic vision & execution of our communication goals.
This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in media relations, corporate & consumer communications, & crisis management.
The Director of Communications will report directly to the SVP - Marketing, Brand & Communications & will play a key role in shaping CLEARs narrative & enhancing our brand reputation.
What you'll do :
- Develop & execute CLEARs comprehensive communications strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Cultivate & maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, serving as the primary spokesperson for media inquiries.
- Lead the drafting & distribution of press releases, media statements, & other communications materials, overseeing approval processes.
- Manage complex communications challenges & initiatives with poise & efficiency.
- Produce high-quality written content with a quick turnaround for various platforms & audiences.
How you'll measure success :
- Measure & enhance brand equity & trust through defined metrics.
- Track media impressions & coverage, evaluating effectiveness & impact.
- Monitor reputation metrics to gauge positive media sentiment & brand perception.
- Grow & engage followership across digital platforms, including LinkedIn.
- Implement & refine crisis management protocols, ensuring proactive management & mitigation strategies.
- Monitor internal communication effectiveness through engagement surveys & feedback mechanisms.
What you're great at :
- Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in communications or public affairs, ideally within a high-growth technology or consumer-facing organization.
- Proven ability to deliver strategic communications counsel to senior executives.
- Exceptional verbal & written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Google Suite & other relevant communication tools.
- Experience managing & mentoring a team, fostering a collaborative & inclusive work environment.
- Background in political campaign communications preferred, but not required.

The base salary range for this role is $170,000 - $190,000, depending on levels of skills & experience.
The base salary range represents the low & high end of CLEARs salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience & performance.
The range listed is just one component of CLEARs total compensation package for employees & other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units
