About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Telemetry Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Shift 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM (Every Other Weekend + 4th Shift Per Month) Guaranteed Hours : 34.
5 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Med Surg / Telemetry and critical care License : State RN License Certifications : BLS, ACLS Must-Have : Experience with EPIC, Telemetry, Ventilator;
1 year travel experience for travel positions preferred Job Description : Patient Care : - Deliver patient care utilizing the professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills. - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop the plan of care.
- Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.- Patient Experience : - Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families.
- Use evidence-based practices to understand patients' perceptions of care. - Demonstrate caring, respect, and active listening in all interactions.
- Quality and Safety : - Practice safe, patient-centered care, escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement. - Engage in quality improvement projects, evidence-based practice activities, and nursing research studies.
- Utilize institutional technology to document nursing practice and support performance improvement initiatives.- Operations : - Perform charge nurse duties as assigned and coordinate resources effectively.
- Demonstrate patient-focused and cost-effective care approaches. - Facilitate patient throughput during shifts.- Professional Development : - Support clinical colleagues, patients, and families in the care environment.
- Advance clinical competence and project a professional image. - Participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils and committees.
Education requirements include a Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred. An associate degree in nursing is considered with relevant experience or active matriculation in a BSN program.
Languages : Proficiency in English (Speak, Read, Write)Preferred skills include average unit census familiarity, therapeutic processes, and high reliability in patient care.
