  • Pay ranges from $36-40 hourly, DOE that's an earning potential equivalent to between $74,880 and $83,200 annually when working 40 hours weekly!

Responsibilities

  • Provides skilled speech therapy treatment plans in accordance with the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), and by completing and interpreting 6-month reviews and annual evaluations of patients.
  • Adheres to state requirements for supervision of Clinical Fellows to provide services with the highest care standards
  • Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by collaborating with community center boards for services through the public schools and / or providing recommendations for community services.
  • Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations / interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
  • Maintains patient records confidentially.
  • Records treatment charges daily and completes documentation in accurate and timely manner.
  • Complies with the applicable State Speech Therapy Practice Act, codes and regulations

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent / emergent situations per protocols.
  • Participates in transdisciplinary meets as set by the early intervention program.
  • Maintains professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers, service coordinators, and other professionals as it relates to collaboration of care for the patient.
  • Keeps regular home visits as approved by Manager.
  • Directs all patient scheduling matters through the early intervention coordinator.
  • Attends meetings as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an ASHA accredited Speech Therapy program
  • Current State Speech Therapist license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
  • Current CPR certification
  • Efficient problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication skills and time management skills
  • Must keep best interest of the client and family at the forefront of all activities
  • Collaborative nature
