JOB SUMMARY :
The Warehouse and Transportation Associate is responsible for organizing the warehouse, procuring tools and equipment as requested, maintaining and repairing tools, transferring tools, equipment, supplies, and materials between job sites. This position also provides assistance to Project Superintendents, temporary assignment as “stand in” superintendent, and other tasks and duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Warehouse & Material Logistics
- Monitor construction material inventory and ensure timely delivery to job sites.
- Organize and maintain warehouse materials, supplies, and tools to support field operations.
- Perform continuous cleanup and organization of sites, warehouse, trucks, and equipment.
Tool & Equipment Management
Maintain inventory of all construction tools and equipment.Organize, track, and secure tools and equipment at the end of each shift.Conduct basic repairs and preventative maintenance , including :Oil changes for generatorsSpark plug replacementsSmall engine diagnosticsPainting equipment to maintain a professional appearanceOrder parts and equipment as needed to support operations.Haul equipment to and from job sites , ensuring timely and safe delivery.Ensure equipment is mechanically sound and visually meets Sand Quality Standards .Organize and maintain Superintendent / project tools and supplies for operational readiness.Facilitate tool repairs in top area operations, coordinating with internal teams or vendors as needed.Project Support & Site Operations
Assist the Project Superintendent with a wide range of tasks, including :General and detailed site cleanupSnow and ice removalOperating equipment (e.g., skid loaders)Installing security fencingHandling specialized IT requestsJob trailer setup and demobilizationEquipment troubleshooting and repairsMaintain construction schedules by serving as a backup for Project Superintendents during their absence.Coordinate daily and weekly work schedules , ensuring clear communication of progress and priorities.Facility & Grounds Maintenance
Provide interior and exterior upkeep of the Waite Park office, including :
Snow removal and ice prevention
Lighting maintenance (bulbs and ballasts)Parking lot and property cleanupOutlot maintenanceLawn and grounds careBuilding and warehouse maintenanceSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :
General construction knowledge, including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical.Ability to work independently.Ability to operate and provide minor repairs to machinery and tools.Forklift and bobcat operation experience.Coordination skills.Ability to work well with others.Ability to demonstrate Sand Companies, Inc. core values of : Stewardship, Integrity, Trust, and Excellence.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
High School Diploma or GED
General construction knowledge
Prefer 1st Aid, CPR, AED certified
Prefer CDL license or ability to obtain

COMPENSATION : $30-$36 hourly
OTHER REQUIREMENTS :
Valid Class D Driver’s License
Pass a Drug Test and Background Check
Pass a Physical Test
Be available to work extended hours when needed
