The Resident Care Assistant supports our mission and values by providing our residents with personal care, as well as homemaker tasks such as meal service and cleaning.

What will I do as a Resident Care Assistant?

• Assists with dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, and ambulation to encourage independence, according to resident service plan and established procedures
• Assists with h omemaker tasks including laundry, housekeeping , meal preparation and serving
• Planning and conducting therapeutic activities.
• Supervise self-administration or administer medications per physician order.

What is required in the Resident Care Assistant position?

• Must be 18+ years of age
• Current and valid CBRF certification preferred.
• American Heart Association (AHA) First Aid certification within 6 months of hire or within 2 years of your initial CBRF First Aid & Choking certification class.

AHA First Aid certification is valid for 2 years and then must be renewed.

• Required to become med delegated upon hire and be able to pass meds.
• Ability to use computers for charting and communication.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions within set guidelines.
• Experience in a resident care position, preferred.
