Responsibilities :

• Manage all aspects of the transportation function in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.
• Selection of qualified drivers, routing, driving, safety, unloading, fleet maintenance, customer / driver relationships, and Department of Transportation (DOT) and Operating Company (OpCo) compliance.
• Handle driver selection and orientation process, employee relations issues, monitoring DOT and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) compliance, managing Transportation Supervisors, and monitoring routing process to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Function as a team member within the department and organization, as required.
• Perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Required Qualifications :

• High School Diploma / GED or Equivalent Experience.
• Transportation experience including in-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and experience with operations of computerized fleet management systems.
• Team lead or supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

• 6 - 10 Years of transportation experience including in-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and experience with operations of computerized fleet management systems within the foodservice industry.
• Supervisory experience.
