Colette is the first-of-its-kind, members-only club for successful business leaders.
The Club features beautifully appointed private offices, conference rooms, meeting spaces, and lounge areas. It also features a restaurant and bar, Coco’s.
We are currently seeking a talented, highly experienced, passionate Controller, with an entrepreneurial mindset to join our dynamic and growing team.
The Controller will be responsible for the day-to-day financial oversight of Colette, the office club, as well as Coco’s, the on-site restaurant and bar.
The Controller will have a strong ownership of financials to ensure the highest standards of accuracy, accountability, and organization in our financial reporting.
Job Responsibilities :
- Daily tracking of the organization’s financial activities.
- Work as a senior team member to develop the long-term vision of the Club, including forecasting, budgeting, analysis, and management reporting.
- Oversee all standard financial and accounting functions including payroll and expense management, purchasing process and cash management and reconciliation.
- Preparation of trial balance, income statements, balance sheets.
- Working closely with the office and restaurant managers to ensure accurate reporting and invoicing to members and payment to vendors.
- Work with and build out external third-party vendors to help with HR / finance / accounting and tax function.
- Have a strong handle on / manage food / supplies cost, restaurant labor and operating expenses / Margins.
- Familiar with sales and commercial tax filings.
- Credit card and private club account receivables operations, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Accounts payable operations, reconciliation, and reporting
- Fixed assets depreciation
- Inventory accounting and reconciliation.
- Familiar with applications such as Quickbooks, Nexudus, Stripe
General Requirements and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Prior 5+ years of experience in a controller function
- A strong drive to learn and willingness to assume executive-level responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and make key decisions with little guidance.
- A strong work-ethic and written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling, financial statement analysis and accounting
- Ability to work under pressure, while meeting conflicting deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent understanding of GAAP, accrual, and inventory accounting for consumer goods
