They will promote the most effective use of hospital funds in the acquisition of assigned commodities, plan specific short and long range commodity objectives;
develop purchasing arrangements, which are communicated to user departments. The Buyer also advises administration and user departments of supply sources, arranges for procurement on a pooled basis rather than department by department.
