General Dentist Duties and Responsibilities :
- Reviewing patients' medical history and discussing their symptoms and concerns.
- Utilizing dental instruments and x-ray equipment to determine the cause of patients' oral pain and discomfort.
- Formulating suitable treatment plans based on the diagnosed dental condition.
- Performing procedures to treat tooth decay and cavities. Prepare and place fillings, and examining patients for dental and jaw diagnosis
- Create models for dental appliances
- Diagnose and treat oral diseases
- Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone, and soft tissue
- Completing a comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and progress notes on each patient.
General Dentist Requirements and Qualifications
- Doctor of dental surgery (DDS) or Doctor of dental medicine (DMD) degree.
- Certification in CPR
- License to practice dentistry
- Proven experience working as a general dentist
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Patient and empathetic disposition.
