Primary Patient Population :
- Acutely ill pediatric to adult patients
- Level 1 Trauma Center
Primary skills utilized / learned :
- Patient Assessments
- Patient Triage
- Trauma care
- IV insertion, blood draws, Foley catheter insertion
- Time management, critical thinking, delegating
Personnel RN will work with :
LPNs, Paramedics, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Behavioral Observers (BO), Providers
Number of beds on unit :
- 93 beds (Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) included)
- 10 Trauma Bays
- 80k+ patient visits annually
Awards or Recognitions the unit has received :
- Level 1 Trauma Center
- Lantern Award
- Stroke Certified
Required Qualifications :
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEARS certifications or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
