GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The individual reports to the BSA Compliance Manager of the subject of the Bank Secrecy Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the respective requirements pertaining to administering the Bank's BSA Program.

The position will oversee the Bank's Anti Money Laundering Software (AMLS) to ensure it performs at an optimal level. This includes daily oversight of the AMLS performance, ensuring data integrity standards are met, and other administrative duties as needed to maintain an effective AMLS program that allow proper monitoring and oversight of customer account activities.

In addition, this position will be responsible for completing tasks related to the BSA Certification Program based on the frequency determined.

This individual will provide support for reviewing and approving Enhanced Due Diligence Reviews and support BSA Training initiatives set by the BSA Training Program.

This position is required to deal effectively and tactfully with Bank personnel at all levels, and with personnel representing regulatory agencies for audit firms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILIITES

  • Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job through self-study and formalized training.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of BSA and all related laws and regulations.
  • Support the Bank's BSA / Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Program.
  • Works independently in providing daily oversight of the Bank's AMLS program to achieve optimal performance levels, including constant analysis of specification settings.
  • Performs frequent assessments on the performance of the AMLS program.
  • Works independently in tracking and monitoring AMLS program issues in working with the Bank's AMLS vendor for resolution, which may include modification to risk modeling and alert scenario settings.
  • Leads in the AMLS model calibration / validation projects.
  • Responsible for AMLS enhancements, including testing prior to implementing,
  • Manages and / or creates system documentation, mapping documentation between core system and AMLS.
  • Assist in developing the Bank's Certification Program and independently executing the program objectives.
  • Report of the results of the Certification Program to management and appropriate committees.
  • Assist the EDD Compliance Officer in reviewing and approving EDD reviews when needed.
  • Support BSA Training initiatives to ensure Associates stay abreast of BSA Compliance.
  • Assist with monthly BSA related Board Reports as applicable.
  • Assist BSA Management and other Internal Departments with questions and problem solving related to the performance of the AMLS.
  • Provide assistance to develop new material and update existing documentation as it applies to AMLS, Certification Program, and / or BSA Training initiatives.
  • Stay current on BSA / USA Patriot Act / OFAC issues and complete training as assigned.
  • Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned by BSA Compliance Manager.
  • Provides, promotes and presents the Citizens Experience Customer Service to all internal and external customers.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position may have indirect supervisory responsibility from time to time and may provide day-to-day instruction to the BSA staff at the direction of the BSA Compliance Manager.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to 3 years' experience related experience and / or training;

or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of the Bank's Anti Money Laundering Software and above average Excel and Word Processing software skills.

This position is located at the operations center.

Salary Range : $73,770.00 To 103,278.00 Annually
