About the Job
Texas Instruments is seeking Manufacturing Technician Interns who will be responsible for performing troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
In this role you will utilize diagnostic equipment and various vendor documents to isolate and repair malfunctions.
The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a certificate or AAS program in Electrical Engineering Technology with a thorough understanding of vacuum, RF, AC / DC and digital electronic theory, and the ability to assemble, disassemble and reassemble complex mechanical assemblies, are desired.
Work may involve repetitive motion and some heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs).
Location : South Portland, Maine
Shift : Work 12 hour shifts on a fixed, compressed schedule, allowing for 3-4 days off in a row and built in overtime.

Minimum Requirements :
- Enrolled in a technical certificate or AAS program in Electrical / Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, Automated Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Industrial Systems and Controls, Electromechanical Technology, or related field
- Must be at least 18 years of age

- Self-driven with ability to identify and resolve issues to improve equipment performance
- Good troubleshooting skills on electrical / mechanical systems
- Excellent organizational, teaming and troubleshooting skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
- Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationship
