Job Summary

You will have the ability tocreate natural gas distribution, transmission, and flow model designs. Manage projects from design through completion including preparation of plans, specifications, permits, and data gathering.

Work with a moderate level of discretion, autonomy and initiative under the supervision and direction of an engineering supervisor / manager or lead engineer.

Essential Functions

• Develop base flow models for gas distribution systems.
• Design gas distribution facilities and associated support systems.
• Prepare long range capacity piping plans.
• Analyze customer load data, regulator station deliveries, and piping sizes for flow analysis results.
• Execute customer scenario modeling as needed.
• Prepare presentations for customers and management.
• Manage deadlines to complete projects.
• Coordinate efforts with customers, and government agencies.
• Provide design support to local gas operations.
• Communicate with region employees, when necessary, where corrections need to be made or assisting them with aproblem.

Education Description

Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university or a combination of education and experience providing an equivalent level of knowledge and experience with a 2 : 1 experience to education ratio totaling 8 years.

Experience

Requires a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in natural gas utility design, flow analysis, or a related field.Applicants with fewer than (10) years experienced will be considered at a lower level within the job family.

• Able to cultivate relationships and partner with business and community contacts to achieve business results.
• Able to apply extensive knowledge of company policies and procedures and DOT CFR 192 regulations and natural gas pipeline design codes.
• Able to coordinate and lead individuals and groups to complete construction projects.
• Able to provide a valid state driver's license and present and maintain a good driving record and to operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
• Able to demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company's Ethics and Compliance Code of Conduct, and other Company policies and procedures and do so consistently, take all required training courses and do so timely.
