The Learning Tree is seeking a compassionate medical professional to fill the role of nurse for our residential program in Pelham, Alabama.
The Learning Tree is a nonprofit organization that has been providing Behavior Analytic services for over 40 years. The Learning Tree serves children, adolescents, adults, and families throughout the state of Alabama with four regional campuses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities shall include but is not limited to the following :
Medication Checks and oversight of administration of medications and staff training related to medication administrationEnsure correct documentation of medication administrationCommunicate information about student change of medical condition to staffMaintain student medical records, including setting up files for new students as neededOccasionally schedule appointments for students with medical providersOversee ordering and inventory of medicationsEnsure storage of medications in compliance with applicable standardsGroup Home medication auditsAble to communicate professionally and respectfully with nursing department and staffOther duties deemed necessary by Coordinator or Nursing Services (discussed in interview)Education and / or Work Experience Requirements :
Valid and current non restricted, unencumbered RN or LPN nursing licenseA good driving record with current vehicle insuranceDependable transportationAbility to work in team setting as well as independentlyPass a Federal and DHR background checkPhysical Requirement :
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential and required job functions consistentwith the ADA, FMLA, and other federal standards including meeting qualitative and quantitative
productivity standards
