This part-time position is 48 hours per two-week pay period.Eligibility for employer contributions (see below) : This 48 hours per two-week pay period position is initially eligible for partial employer contribution towards health and dental insurance benefits.

As a Registered Nurse for MVH-Minneapolis, you will provide professional registered nurse services in a long-term care, skilled care facility.

These positions assess the needs of the residents, suggest appropriate nursing interventions, implement orders and routines, and deliver skilled nursing care.

This position may also coordinate, delegate, and review work of other nursing staff members.The Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis provides skilled nursing care in a supportive environment that fosters a stable, healthy, and meaningful life for Veterans.

Licensed in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions.Knowledge of nursing practices and techniques sufficient to provide effective nursing care for residents.

Skill in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships.Effective communication skills sufficient to provide and follow instructions.

Computer experience sufficient to complete electronic charting and use basic computer functions such as email.Ability to make decisions within the scope of nursing responsibilities.

Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care provided by other staff, make, or recommend changes, and provide mentoring.

Ability to teach self-help skills to residents.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Preferred QualificationsExperience in a skilled nursing facility.Long-term care experience.Geriatric care experience.Experience with MDS assessments.
