Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities
What We're Looking For :
Iridium is seeking a Senior Contract Manager to join our Legal Team. In this position, you'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Iridium contractual relationships related to purchasing goods and services in a professional, timely, and cost-effective manner.
You will gain valuable experience in providing support for a broad array of contract types, including consulting, services contracts, U.
S. Government subcontracts, and procurement agreements, while making a meaningful impact on Iridium's bottom line. You'll thrive in this role if you are a flexible self-starter who is results-oriented with a strong attention to detail.
What You'll Do :
Review, draft and revise a variety of contracts, including master purchase agreements, purchase orders, statements of work (SOWs), task orders (TOs), and related procurement agreements
- Consult and work closely with other members of the Legal department regarding the interpretation of commercial, legal, export, licensing contracting, and inter-related property and product liability requirements to assure that negotiated requirements are accurately documented and fully reviewed
- Enforce contract risk management procedures including Finance approvals, Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance and signature authority
- Ensure contract compliance with data privacy issues, Iridium's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, confidentiality, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Export Compliance, Anti-boycott, Antitrust, False Claims, etc.
and provide recommendations on how company should continue to protect sensitive information both as an internal policy and a matter of law
- Help maintain awareness of and compliance with government purchasing rules, contracting requirements, applicable statutes and regulations, industry best practices and company policies and procedures
- Assist with cost accounting compliance as it relates to price and cost analytics
- Support vendor identification and screening; initiate business supplier partnerships Experience with contractor purchasing system reviews of procurement process and documentation.
Experience & Education Requirements / EEO
What You'll Need to Succeed :
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
- 10+ years of work experience in any of the following areas or equivalent fields : contracts, administration, finance and / or program administration
- Knowledge of the FAR, DFARS and related acquisition regulations and procedures, including cost-reimbursement contracts
- Familiarity with purchasing FAR 12 products and services for internal infrastructure as well as client funded contracts.
- Ability to identify and navigate negotiation of terms and conditions for commercial items
- Familiarity with tools, processes and software applications that support federal government contracting activities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey products, deliverables, analyses, and / or issues clearly and confidently, and recognize and adapt to different communication techniques
- Can easily build meaningful relationships with others, including senior leadership outside of your own department, and is comfortable providing constructive feedback to your team members and management
- Be able to analyze a situation or problem, generate effective solutions, and see those solutions through to completion
- Must possess the creativity and resourcefulness needed to make reliable decisions and determine methods on new assignments
- Can thrive in a dynamic environment by handling multiple tasks and managing shifting priorities
- Be proactive in sharing knowledge you've learned with others

Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPCM or CFCM)
We'll also need you to :
- Travel up to 10%
- Be a U.S. citizen
Work Environment :
This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer.
The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
