BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIORAL ANALYST (BCBA) - ASSENT BASED
Description :
A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a professional who studies the behavior of children and adults to help address problematic behaviors.
- BCBA responsibilities include : *
- Observing patients and assessing their behavior
- Meeting with families, teachers, or doctors to discuss the patient’s treatment and progress and recommend ways to address behavioral issues
- Developing individual plans to correct, maintain, or improve certain behaviors
- Create simulated conditions where you will observe the behavior of each client
- Formulate an appropriate treatment plan that is sensitive to clients’ cognitive, social, emotional, and sensory needs
- Follow the Assent methodology.
- Administer treatment and tailor interventions as needed
- Suggest additional treatment by other professionals as required
- Operate within time, financial, and other resource constraints
- Remain abreast of changes in research on evidence-based practices
- Advocate for the inclusion of individuals with disorders and disabilities within society
Requirements : *Required Skills / Abilities : *
- Assent-based applied behavior analysis
- Pro-active intervention strategies
- Recognizing Assent Withdrawal
- Understand the Principles of Reinforcement
- Developmental processes of children / adolescents
- Interpersonal skills needed to manager crisis situations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Products and other technology.
- Education and Experience : *
- Experience working with ages 10 through young adults with developmental disabilities and / or unique learning needs
- Board Certification
- Physical Requirements : *
- Prolonged periods of sitting or working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Repetitive physical activity such as data entry.

Pay : $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
