Description of Duties :
The Linux Integrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will :
Be responsible for integration of specialized mission unique software (MUS) software on Linux and Windows based virtual machines for the Missile Defense Space Center.
Identify and define requirements for new systems / system modifications, supporting design implementation and formal testing.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to determine configuration issues.
Proactively remediate integration problems as they arise.
Work closely with a team of engineers, including system administrators, network engineers, system engineers, and cybersecurity engineers, to provide high quality, innovative integration services to the Government customer.
Serve as a major contributor to technical planning process and for providing technical management and guidance.
Work with system engineers to identify and define requirements for new systems / system modifications, developing designs, and implementing and testing solutions.
Conduct on-going system patching to reduce cybersecurity risks.
Conduct testing to ensure installations and functionality is met.
Conduct daily system monitoring, system backup and restoral, and application upgrades to ensure optimal and continuous system operations.
Be responsible for ensuring system software installs, maintenance, break / fix activities, testing and cyber security mitigations are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements with multiple internal and external teams.
Assist in communicating errors between software developers and the end user.
Identify and develop scripts or changes to SW to provide desired functionality.

Effectively function as self-starter and identify risks, issues, and opportunities.
Be able to report to Schriever SFB within 2 hours to support mission surge support events.
Support occasional evening and weekend events for the MDA customer.
Have a "can-do" attitude, be able to work in a very high paced and dynamic environment, and embrace change.
Provide sustainment and IT project assistance as requested.
Take on additional duties that may be necessary to mission success.

Here’s what you’ll need :
Basic Requirements :
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience : HS Diploma (or GED) and 2 years of general experience;
Associate’s degree and 0 years of general experience.
Must have 2.5 years of IT experience
Must have recent MDA experience or space experience
Must have current experience supporting the IRES contract
Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Sec+)
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher
Desired Requirements :
Have experience administering a Red Hat Linux environment
Have Linux command line experience
Have experience with writing tests to verify functionality and requirements
Have experience with Kubernetes, Podman, Gitlab, and Ansible
Have experience with C++, Python, C shell scripting, Bash scripting
Have a Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator Certification
Have experience writing and executing Ansible playbooks
Have experience conducting log analysis
Have knowledge of VMware environments
Have DoD networking experience with classified data networks and strong grasp of red / black concepts and IA compliance
TS / SCI clearance
This position is expected to pay $69,500 - $94,500 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
