Journeyman Electrician
Location : Midland, TX Area, Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Mississippi
Job Overview :
Mackinnon & Partners is seeking Licensed Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians for industrial and commercial projects. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, including PLCs, 480V power, and 120V control circuits.
Responsibilities extend to the installation and testing of switchgear, transformers, motors, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, 3-phase systems, and industrial electrical systems (motors, relays, drives, etc.).
- Interpret and work with electrical diagrams, 3-phase motor terminations, and control instruments.
- Install and repair electrical wiring, switch boxes, conduits, lighting, and electronic components.
- Conduct testing on electrical equipment for continuity, voltage, and resistance.
- Install and test switchgear, transformers, and pneumatic control systems.
- Fulfill customer requests daily while ensuring a safe, efficient work environment.
Required Qualifications :
- 5+ years of electrical experience required
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience as a Journeyman Class 1 or A-level craft worker.
- Valid driver’s license and Electrical license
- In-depth knowledge of the NEC Code Book and ability to interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Safety-oriented with a commitment to following OSHA regulations.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug testing as required by company and clients.
- Physically capable of performing tasks in various weather conditions and at night.
- Class A CDL is a plus.
