Job Description
This position is a Winter / Spring Co-Op position from January to June 2025, based out of Irvine, CA. The candidate will participate in the key activities pertaining to the technology development of piezoelectric bulk acoustic resonators (BAW) including device modeling, characterization, and EDA support.
This will be a cross-functional role in a collaborative engineering team and the Co-Op will have the opportunity to work with modeling, process, testing, and layout engineers.
Job Responsibilities
- Construct FEM and circuit models in collaboration with other device modeling and circuit design engineers
- Analyze on-wafer device statistics of key device parameters
- Propose new ways to design the state-of-the-art BAW devices based on physics-based models and data-driven models
Requirements
- Current student pursuing a PhD in relevant engineering field
- Must be able to work 40 hours a week for full duration of program
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency with FEM tools, such as COMSOL
- Experience with scientific programming using MATLAB and / or Python
- Ability to process, cleanse and validate the integrity of data to be used for further analysis and experiments
- Familiarity with statistics, machine learning techniques and algorithms, and optimization
- Basic knowledge of solid mechanics or acoustic wave in solids. Knowledge in BAW resonators or RFMEMS resonators will be a plus
