Registered Nurse RN Neonatal ICU

The Neonatal ICU is a 83-bed Level III critical care facility that provides acute medical, nursing, and respiratory care to critically ill infants;

the majority of NICU admissions come from within Magee, however, we do also regularly take transports from other regional hospitals.

Patients in the NICU may be premature or full-term infants who suffer from a diversity of medical issues including (but not limited to) low birth weight, infectious diseases, congenital anomalies, and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, as well as various complications during labor and delivery.

Previous ICU and / or pediatric experience is preferred; NICU experience is strongly preferred.What can you Expect as a Professional Staff Nurse?

• Previous inpatient experience preferred.* BSN preferred.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances : * Registered Nurse (RN)* Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state.

Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)* CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire* Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
