Project Manager Overview
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to support the Division Managers within the Leisure Services Department. This role involves overseeing best management policies, procedures, and processes across divisions, updating and maintaining administrative procedures manuals, and assisting in long-range goal development.
The Project Manager will coordinate employee training, support the Department's marketing and communications programs, and manage technology upgrades and internal technical support.
Additionally, this position will contribute to strategic planning, manage computer budgets, oversee fleet and facilities maintenance, and administer various software systems.
Key Responsibilities
Policy and Procedure Management : Assist Division Managers in implementing and maintaining best management policies, procedures, and processes.
Update and maintain the department's Administrative Procedures Manual, and support divisions in updating their procedures and business rules.
- Strategic Support : Collaborate with the Director to develop long-range goals and objectives. Oversee the Department's strategic plans in coordination with Division Managers and the Department Director.
- Employee Training and Development : Develop, coordinate, and facilitate employee training and development programs, including teambuilding exercises for management and staff.
- Marketing and Communications : Support the Department's engagement, marketing, and communications efforts. Contribute to advisories, bulletins, brochures, newsletters, website content, and social media to inform the public about Leisure Services' roles, resources, and activities.
- Event Coordination : Assist in organizing special presentations, press conferences, grand openings, and ribbon cuttings.
Prepare and deliver oral and written presentations.
Technology Management : Assist Division Managers with technology software upgrades and installations, perform internal technical support, and act as the liaison for computer equipment and leases with the IT department.
Plan and prepare the Department's computer budget and administer recreation software, work order management systems, website content management, social media, and email distribution systems.
- Fleet and Facilities : Coordinate the Department's Fleet and Facilities Maintenance Program, conduct asset inventories, analyze facilities, and develop end-of-life cycle replacement strategies.
- Leadership and Development : Provide leadership, support, and training for customer service, new procedures, and various software systems.
Assist in defining technical equipment needs and assess technology trends through professional activities.
Special Projects : Undertake special projects as requested and represent the Director or Division Managers in their absence.
