  • Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week\n
  • Estimated Weekly Pay : $1570 - $1680\n
  • Unit : Post Surgical Care (28 beds)\n
  • Patient Ratios : RN 1 : 4-6\n
  • Scrub Color : Navy Blue\n
  • Parking : Free in designated areas\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active and unencumbered RN license (North Carolina or compact state)\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg or Telemetry RN experience\n
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required\n
  • NIHSS certification (Resource Team Requirement)\n
  • Proficient in post-surgical nursing skills : incision care, patient assessment, drains, chest tubes, wound care / wound vacs, mobility, patient education, trach care, NG tube insertion, use of braces / traction\n
  • Willingness to float within the Central Division region (Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman)\n
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (radius rule for travel nursing jobs)\n

    • \n\nMed / Surg RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to post-surgical and medical overflow patients\n
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans\n
  • Manage drains, chest tubes, wound vacs, and other post-surgical interventions\n
  • Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery processes\n
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including CNAs, charge nurses, IV / VAT teams, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists\n
  • Utilize EPIC EMR, BD Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips / Massimo monitors\n
  • Participate in floating assignments as needed within the designated North Carolina healthcare region\n
  • Foster a positive and supportive unit culture\n
