Job Summary and Qualifications
As a House Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating intradepartmental and interdepartmental functioning of the hospital.
You will be responsible for the direction, supervision, coordination, and evaluation of nursing performance and activities related to the care and treatment of patients within the hospital on a specific shift.
- You will coordinate the assignments of patients to specific units
- You will assign nursing staff to specific clinical areas within the hospital
- You will act as the official representative of management and administrative staff of the hospital in their absence
- You will assess personnel needs based on census, acuity, and special needs of each unit
Job Requirements
Experience
Minimum of (5) years of clinical practice, (3) of which have been in a nurse leadership role
Education
- Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Completion of or actively pursuing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy
