Luminar Technologies is seeking an Indirect Purchasing Buyer for our Sourcing team in Orlando, FL.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for placing POs within the timeline expectations founded within the Purchasing Policy
- Negotiate Supplier Agreements from small to mid-size Agreements
- Works within the management team to ensure that all deliveries are in align to our Production timeline
- Expedite orders when necessary
- Works directly with suppliers to make sure accurate and on time delivery of goods
- Update delivery dates in ERP system for ease of tracking
- Manages relationships with suppliers, may also be responsible for finding alternative sources when needed
- Works with Accounting to set new suppliers up in the system
- Works with invoice discrepancies
- Provide ERP Training
- Proactively participate, offer and provide guidance and assistance to others in workflow process
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain management or related field or related field or 5+years of equivalent work experience
- Experience with supply processes and procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members and suppliers
- Strong communication / analytical / negotiating skills & organizational skills
- Understanding of an ERP System
- Attention to detail to ensure all purchase orders are accurate
- Ability to work with a team or independently
- Must be able to work in a matrixed, highly collaborative and fast paced environment
- Work in an autonomous environment with minimal direct supervision
