Technical Writer
Location : Los Angeles, CA
Pay Rate : $43-49 / hour
6-month assignment (potential to extend)
Our client, a leader in public utilities, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to support our Safety Management Systems (SMS) and EMSO departments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and organizing essential documentation.
Responsibilities :
- Review and validate documentation for accuracy, clarity, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain standardized document templates for API 1173 Safety Management Systems and the SMS Strategy Department.
- Collaborate with the EMSO department to develop and document operational procedures.
- Convert existing documents into standardized formats to ensure consistency.
- Develop and maintain a standard filing structure for all documentation.
- Identify, classify, and document relevant materials to ensure accurate record-keeping and easy retrieval.
Qualifications :
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio; experience with MS SharePoint is a plus.
- Exceptional written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and organize multiple documents and projects simultaneously.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and translating technical information into clear, user-friendly documents.
- Prior experience in technical writing, documentation management, or a related field is preferred.
