This role suits a technical cyber security technical leader with a strong understanding of secure software development. The Head of Security Engineering will have experience in managing direct reports and other matrixed DevOps teams.
You will be application security conscious and be aware of technology trends and a wide array of projects.
Although this is not a hands-on technical role, the Head of Security Engineering will appreciate the development lifecycle, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native Technologies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborating with the Chief Technical Officer to help deliver the security roadmap for developing secure applications.
- Lead a team of Security Engineers and Analysts while working closely with the DevOps and Architect team to provide support and leadership oversight to execute the firm’s vision.
- Managing budgets, including taking responsibility for hiring direct reports and headcount growth.
Required Experience & Skills :
- Must be strategically and technically minded and suit a security leader with a technical or analytical background.
- Previous experience in managing or leading a technically minded firm, ideally following a DevSecOps methodology
- The ability to inspire and motivate cultural change.
- Knowledge of cloud-native technologies, including containers and Kubernetes etc.
