Summary
The primary function of the Corporate Director of Operations CFV Medical Group is to assist the President CFV Medical Group in providing direction for developing and managing of Cape Fear Valley Health System’s Primary Care Physician Network, and other service lines as needed.
Managing other managers and service line administrators in meeting the operational goals of CFV Ambulatory Medical Group and Health System.
Education, Training and Experience :
Master’s Degree in Business or an advanced degree in a health-related field preferred. Bachelors Degree in Business or health-related field required.
At least five years’ experience in physician office management is desirable. Experience working directly with physicians is required.
Must have excellent skills with computer spreadsheets and the ability to interpret data. Must be able to compile data from multiple sources and not be afraid to dig to find data.
Be able to identify trends.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with hospital management, physicians and outside organizations.
Present a professional and executive image to effectively present proposals and favorably influence clients.
- Ability to be effective with little or no day-to-day supervision.
- Possess and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, be results-oriented, and exemplify a team player attitude.
- Ability to demonstrate effective leadership traits and competently execute decisions.
- Maintain a current breadth of knowledge of local, regional and national Practice Management and Managed Health Care trends.
- Must be willing and able to work on a variety of activities and projects
- Ability to travel to various locations throughout Cape Fear Valley Health System’s service area.
- Position requires a flexible schedule to meet and discuss issues at customer and physicians’ convenience.
- Perform any additional functions requested by the President CFV Medical Group and other Health System executives.
