Position Highlights :
- Number of Beds : 16
- Patient Population : Our Oncology Unit specializes in the care of acutely ill Oncology / Hematology patients, addressing both acute and chronic illnesses. We also accommodate low acuity medical / surgical patients as needed.
- Nurse to Patient Ratio : 1 : 4-6
- Department Culture : Experience a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where collaboration with physician partners and ancillary team members is key to achieving the best outcomes for our patients. Join our robust Partnership Committee that meets monthly, and benefit from the support of a unit-based educator, two nurse supervisors, and charge nurses.
- Skills & Equipment : Engage in a variety of nursing skills including chemo administration (for certified staff), Foley / IV / NG / Mediport insertions, central line care, lab draws, and telemetry monitoring.
Exciting Incentives :
Sign-On Bonus : $10,000 (3-year commitment)Relocation Assistance : $5,000 for >100 miles; $2,500 for 50-100 miles
BSN Bonus : $2,500 for external applicants and RNs with over 1 year of experienceAs an Oncology nurse, you have a unique opportunity to support patients and families throughout their cancer journeys. Qualifications
License / Certifications :
Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Course within 6 months (APHON)Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days (AHA)Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)Education : High School Diploma / GED
Other Knowledge / Skills : A passion for patient care and a commitment to continuous learning.
Responsibilities
Perform all responsibilities specific to the scope of service, including maintaining accurate documentation of nursing care.Conduct initial assessments upon patient admission and develop tailored care plans based on patient and family needs.Implement and modify care plans based on continuous evaluation.Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting and correcting safety hazards.Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide constructive feedback to foster professional development.Administer chemotherapy / biotherapy and provide emotional support to patients and their families.About Us

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $33.68 - $57.93 per hour . This range reflects a good faith minimum and maximum for the role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on various factors including experience, qualifications, and shifts worked.
