Job Overview :
As a Business Development Specialist, you will be instrumental in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth. You will focus on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and enhancing our market presence.

The ideal candidate will have an established book of business in domestic freight or warehousing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prospecting and Lead Generation :
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through active prospecting, cold calling, and networking.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
- Client Relationship Management :
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored logistics solutions.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Sales Strategy and Execution :
- Collaborate with the brokerage team to coordinate client shipments and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business growth.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market trends to management.
- Market Research and Industry Engagement :
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices.
- Attend relevant events, conferences, and trade shows to expand professional knowledge and network.
- Collaboration and Teamwork :
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing and operations, to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or brokerage sales.
- At least 5 years of overall sales experience with a proven track record in prospecting and closing deals.
- Established book of business in domestic freight or warehousing.
- Experience with TL, LTL, partial LTL for trucking, eCommerce, bulk storage, and big-box type items for warehousing.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software for effective sales tracking and management.
