The Retail Sales Associate is a customer-facing position responsible for delivering an outstanding in-store experience. This role supports daily store operations by providing knowledgeable assistance to customers, maintaining merchandise displays, stocking inventory, and ensuring a clean and organized sales floor. As a key representative of the company, the Retail Sales Associate exemplifies our commitment to exceptional service and teamwork.

Essential Duties and Other Responsibilities

  • Merchandising & Store Appearance

Stock, restock, and organize shelves with accurate product placement.

  • Assist with rotating and front-facing inventory to ensure a clean and shoppable environment.
  • Support visual merchandising efforts by arranging displays as directed by management.
  • Monitor and report low stock levels or inventory discrepancies.
  • Store Operations & Safety

    • Participate in freight receiving and stocking processes.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, stockroom, and common areas (e.g., sweeping, mopping, trash removal).
  • Operate equipment such as the cardboard baler safely and responsibly.
  • Identify and report any unsafe conditions or hazards to management.
  • Teamwork & Professionalism

    • Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented environment.

  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Support other departments as needed and perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and attendance expectations.

    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of customer service principles and best practices.
  • Basic understanding of retail operations, including merchandising and sales techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable operating retail equipment (e.g., handheld scanners, POS systems, baler).
  • Willingness to assist customers and team members proactively.
  • Ability to stay composed and courteous under pressure or during peak business hours.
