Job Summary :
Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS) is a clinical program in the Division of Addiction Science, Prevention and Treatment in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine with an annual budget of approximately $12 million.
ARTS programs provide treatment to approximately 2,500 clients in both residential and outpatient clinics located throughout the Denver Metropolitan Area with a staff of approximately 150.
The ARTS Finance Specialist is a fiscal position, reporting to the ARTS Sr. Manager of Finance & Administration. This position will be responsible for a variety of clerical and fiscal duties involving financial reporting and record keeping and / or transactions relating to department functions, including salary allocations, procurement, accounts receivable, purchasing, grant post award reporting / support and contract management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in ensuring programs and projects, including grants and contracts are fiscally sound and adhere to Federal and University of Colorado Policies and Procedures.
- Assist in managing fiscal reporting activities for ARTS including revenue, expense, and balance sheet transactions; monitoring of program and contract / grant budgets;
and assists in fiscal and progress reporting to funding agencies, including performance-based and cost-rate analysis.
- Assist in the management of ARTS resources and activities within the University system including Fiscal & Budget management, Procurement of Goods and Services, and Grant & Contract administration.
- Maintain internal grant / contract submission and award tracking spreadsheets- evaluate available technology / apps / software to modernize tracking system and capabilities.
- Pre- and Post-Award Liaison between external funding sources, and internal operations.
- General financial reporting and record keeping.
- Contract processing, tracking, and invoicing.
- Payment processing and tracking.
- Processing of Journal Entries (JEs) and Payroll Expense Transfers (PETs)
- Maintain monthly and Annual financial cost reporting requirements and accrual processes.
- Budgeting and post-award reporting in collaboration with internal business partners.
- Provide routine audits of financial transactions involving cash transactions, to include petty cash funds and client fee payments;
and the reconciliation and collection of revenues for services provided.
Participation in team meetings.
Work Location :
Hybrid this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3-4 days per week on the Fort Logan Campus in Southwest Denver.
