POSITION SUMMARY
Manage all aspects of service department and uphold customer service standards, quality standards in accordance with company policy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate activities of workers in one or more service department of automobile and accessories sales / service establishment.
- Assist sales personnel in adjusting customers' service complaints.
- Management of department employees-hire, transfer, discharge workers. Develop and implement training for department personnel.
- Direct activities of workers engaged in testing new equipment and recommend purchase or rejection of equipment.
- Determine work standards and evaluate workers' performance.
- May handle claims regarding defective factory work quality.
- My determine need and cost of automobile repair.
- Insure that subordinates conform to the company's policy on non-discrimination and harassment and personally conform to those policies.
- Work in a cooperative and professional manner with all personnel.
- Treat all members of the public in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner, and maintain a professional demeanor while on the job.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Report any violation of the harassment / non-discrimination policies to management.
- Monitor compliance to company safety notices.
- Test driving new, used or customer's automobiles as required.
- Strive to obtain superior customer satisfaction ratings including customer follow through.
- Possible chemical exposure as regular part of the job. (a) A limited number of chemicals are used on occasion as a normal part of the job.
b) In order to recognize and protect him / herself from chemicals in the workplace the employee will attend training in company's hazard communication program (worker's right to know), utilize chemical inventory list, utilize material safety data sheet (MSDS), and utilize required personal protective equipment at all times.

Special working conditions such as overtime, or as-needed work. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
