Essentialfunctions of the job may include but are not limited to thefollowing :
- Prepareand implement the instructional process for students withIEPs
- Deliverinstruction through the use of curriculum materials and educationalsoftware
- Developdaily lesson plans and classroom schedule that reflects state andschool requirements
- Implementstandards for student behavior in order to ensure a safe secure andeffective learning environment by providing a high degree ofstructure clear expectations andconsistency
Requirements
- Provenexperience as a Special Education Teacher or relevantrole
- Experienceworking with children with a wide range ofdisabilities
- BachelorsDegree from an accredited university required. Masters degree is aplus
- Haveor be eligible to apply for an Illinois PEL with special education(LSB1)endorsement
- Mustbe able to work up to 37.5 hours perweek.
